Rick from Abbott Towing offered quick and friendly service during what was an absolute nightmare situation for me. My car was stuck in the snow against a tree stump, hanging off a small ledge, and wouldn't start. Not only was he able to skillfully pull me out around the stump without damaging my car, but he also figured out why my car wouldn't start, and we thankfully were able to get it going before he left. Used Rick this past weekend to help us relocate an 8’x8’x10’ shed that we have converted into a chicken coop. The area next to our house we wanted to put it was tight. Rick never shied away from the challenge. He was more than helpful with rigging and logistics. He got the coop into the exact spot we wanted to even getting his flat deck within a 1/2” of my house and causing no damage. On top of the great service Rick was an overall great and friendly guy. At first, my car was turned away by several tow companies because it wouldn't shift into neutral. Because of this, I thought if any company was going to do this, they would overcharge me, be rude or bang up my car. I f tried one last company, and I'm so glad I did. Rick bailed me out of a jam. Called over 15 places to change a tire in a dangerous spot late evening on the highway and no one could do it. Rick wanted to help out because the driver was in such a bad spot. He went above and beyond. Rick immediately drove out there and changed the tire. He even had the driver get off next exit to make sure the tire was torqued good enough. My driver and I can't thank Rick enough for the effort that he put forth. I had to have my daughter’s car towed. I called several towing companies for quotes. After getting the quotes I called Abbot Towing. It was nice to speak to the owner who is also the one that came to tow the car. Not only was Rick reasonably priced, actually cheaper then some of them, he was very impressionable and professional when speaking to him. Rick said he would be there in an hour and was actually there in about a half an hour. I loved that he treated the car with care, as if it was his own. Abbott Towing is a small local towing company. He would've made more $$ towing but he didn't.I had my teenage son with me and he was showing him how to change a tire.I give 10 stars to him. I spent some quality time on the side of the road this past weekend, after my 16 year daughter ran into trouble with her moms car. The lions share of that time was due to the fact that Progressive did not want to pay a towing service by credit card. I ended up contacting Abbott when I passed 4 hours sitting there with no progress from roadside assistance. Rick answered and immediately knew who I was based on my initial description of the situation. He quoted a very reasonable price for the short tow that I needed I came out to my location quickly. Apparently, Rick from Abbotts was contacted during the first hour of my stay by Progressive and they dropped the call because he pointed out that I was in a bad location (which I was) and explained that he needed a card payment (not uncommon). In the end he pushed back on Progressive to have them pay for the tow as they could have resolved the situation early on and they eventually did the right thing and paid him directly. I feel Rick went above and beyond by advocating for me. He could have just charged me for the tow and left it at that. If I ever need a non-emergency tow in the Derry, NH area I will be calling Abbott! You should too!
